YOUR RIGHTS AS THEY PERTAIN TO YOUR PERSONAL AND CONFIDENTIAL INFORMTION

  • You are entitled to expect that any information shared will be done so for the purpose ONLY for which is was intended to be shared

  • You have the right to inspect any information an organization holds about you and make sure it is accurate, complete, and current.

  • You are entitled to expect that your information will be properly discarded once an organization no longer requires it.

  • You are entitled to complain confidentially to an organization about how it handles your information and if necessary, report your concerns to the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

WHY WE COLLECT, USE AND SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

  • When you share your personal information with us, we use it to construct a plan that makes the most sense for you. When we pass information along that is intended to provide you with products and services that best suits your needs, we assume we have your consent. We may use or disclose your information to achieve the following:

  • Assess your application for investment, insurance and other services available to you by our firm.

  • Evaluate claims and underwriting risks when required.

  • Detect and prevent fraud.

  • Access business results.

WHAT WE WILL NOT DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION

We will never sell client information to anyone. Nor do we share client information with   organizations outside of our relationship with you that would use it to contact you about their own products or services.

WE STRIVE TO PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Our employees, associated advisors and suppliers who are granted access to client records  understand the need to keep this information protected and confidential. They know they are to use the information only for the purposes intended. This expectation is clearly communicated. We’ve also established physical and systems safeguards, along with proper processes, to protect client information from unauthorized access or use.

 

TO WITHDRAW YOUR CONSENT
You may withdraw your consent at any time (subject to legal or contractual obligations and on providing us reasonable notice).  Please be aware that withdrawing your consent may prevent us from providing you with requested products or services. 

 

CONSENT TO RECEIVE EMAILS

By providing us with your email address you consent to receive emails both of a personal and business nature. Should you wish not to receive emails for promotional reasons (about products we believe to be of benefit to you) it is your responsibility to email us back requesting to no longer receive emails NOT of a personal nature.
